Accountant - Stock (GA)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily and monthly Stock Accounting transactions, including stock movements and relevant system interfaces
- Perform stock reconciliations, margin reconciliations, and other accounting controls to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Calculate and post stock-related adjustments, including Stock Valuation Allowance (SVA), where applicable
- Support month-end closing activities, reporting, and analysis of accounting data.
- Investigate discrepancies and provide explanations and supporting information to internal and external auditors
- Contribute to process improvement, standardization, automation, and transition projects.
- Cooperate with internal stakeholders and METRO Group entities to ensure high-quality and timely service delivery
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation.
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities and support an effective backup structure within the team.
Qualifications
Our requirements:
- Accounting experience
- Work experience with SAP will be an advantage.
- Analytical skills and good knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of stock valuation topics nice to have.
- Experience with margin controlling and reconciliation between presystems and the accounting system in addition.
- Good organization of own work in changing environment.
- High orientation on goals realization.
- Good command of English (B1/B2).
