Job Description
Main areas of responsibility:
- Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the General Accounting team
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all general ledger activities and closing processes
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members in complex accounting matters
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and operational excellence
- Due to the people management responsibilities and the nature of the role, regular presence in the office will be beneficial to ensure effective collaboration and team suport
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
- A university degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in leading or managing a team
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience in managing finance and accounting processes within the General Accounting area
- SAP knowledge (FI/CO modules) — a strong plus
- Experience in an international, multicultural environment (preferably SSC/BPO)
- Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel
